This 100,000 SF winemaking facility houses 10,000 SF of administrative, training, executive and staff amenity spaces.

Inspired by the work of Bernard Maybeck, the Reception area features a decorative plaster band with inlaid ceramic tile, coffered ceiling, craftsman-style terracotta tile floor with multicolored accents, and a custom vineyard mural by John Maxon.

Wood paneling and custom millwork throughout the facility are vertical grain Douglas Fir. Hardwood flooring on the upper floors and stairs is wide plank oak with a hand-hewn finish.

Executive dining and conference rooms incorporate custom architectural features such as roof trusses of Douglas Fir and ceiling decking reclaimed from artisan redwood wine barrels.

The third floor houses the private wine library in the building’s cupola. The room is anchored by the Rumford fireplace with limestone surround.

MWS Design also contributed to the exterior design (by Valley Architects of St. Helena) by designing the ironwork for the stair railing and the Catalina tile used at the stair risers and quatrefoil-shaped fountain in the exterior event area.
